Microsoft announces Lumia 530 UK release date

The Lumia 530 was officially announced last month, but we now have a confirmed release date for the entry-level handset's UK release date.
Microsoft says the 530 will be landing on British soil on the 4th September, with retailers expected to flog the blower 'from as little as £60.'
The new device will ship with a 4-inch LCD display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, and Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
There's also a 5MP rear camera that can take 'voice-guided selfies', although there's no front-facing shooter unfortunately.

There's 4GB standard internal storage, with the potential to upgrade via SD card to a maximum 128GB.
There's also a bonus 15GB free cloud storage with Microsoft's OneDrive. There's also 512MB of memory.
“With high-end apps, features and exceptional build quality at an amazing price, the Lumia 530 sets a new benchmark for affordable smartphones,” says Conor Pierce, VP at the UK Microsoft Devices division.
”The Lumia 530 demonstrates our focus on welcoming more people to the Windows Phone ecosystem.”
The battery's not huge at just 1430mAh, but considering the lowly specs the battery life shouldn't be too shoddy. Microsoft reckons its 530 will last 22 hours in standby, and 13 hours on 2G talktime.
Connectivity comes in the form of HSPA+ up to 21Mbps, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a micro USB port.
Microsoft says the Lumia 530 will be available from EE, Vodafone, O2, Three, Phones 4u, and Carphone Warehouse, and will come in bright orange, bright green, and dark grey paintjobs.
