Future of Flexible and Transparent Displays with LG OLED’s

With the transformation of technology and the mobile arena in the last decade, one of the biggest changes is observed in the outlook of the gadgets. The display is one thing which has come far across and it can be observed by looking back at the mobile and TV’s of early 2000’s. To take this development even further, LG is all set to create milestones in both the technologies i.e. Flexible display as well as transmissible display.

OLED Flexibility

LG recently announced 18-inch flexible OLED panel made up of organic light emitting diode. This masterpiece has a great resolution of 1200 x 810 with nearly 1 million megapixels and it can also be rotated as the register with a radius of 3 cm without affecting the display of the screen. It can create revolution in the future and according to LG, this 18-inch OLED panel has made a path for the upcoming “rollable” TV featuring a display size greater than 50 inches. The future experience can be astonishing with the TV’s rolled up in boxes and in bags.


OLED Transmittance

LG announced another big achievement by creating OLED display that are now capable of 30 percent transmittance that helps in improved image quality and reduced hazy images. The company brings down the level of haze from 10 percent to 2 percent thus giving the natural image quality
